Casual Relief Teacher

Braemar College is an independent co-educational, ecumenical school for students in Years 5-12. The College has two campuses both of which are located near Woodend, less than an hour from Melbourne's CBD.

Position:

Braemar College is seeking enthusiastic casual relief teachers mainly for our Middle School campus where Year 5 to 7 are taught. This role includes pre-arranged casual teaching, with the possibility of short-notice requirements if you are available.

You will commence during Term 1 2027.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will:

• Undertake replacement classes and or duties for absent teachers.
• Provide quality learning and teaching experiences for students.
• Participate in student wellbeing programs if required.
• The ability and preparedness to undertake practical classes in Health and Physical Education would be an advantage.

• Be prepared to participate in co-curricular activities.
• Be open to the possibilities of teaching in flexible learning spaces.
• Be a current VIT registered teacher.

In addition, the preferred applicant will have an understanding of and commitment to the ethos of Independent Schooling and a willingness to contribute to College events and adhere to the College's 'Child Safe Code of Conduct’ and 'Child Safe and Protection’ policies.

The College's casual relief teaching rate is currently $475; half days are also possible.
